Name: Ava Jillian "AJ" Duquesne

Age: 28 annuals

Race (Werewolf, Vampire, Shapeshifter, Mortal, ect): C-24 Superhuman**

History: Ava was born in St. David, Maine, on October 31, 1979. Her father was a big time lawyer for a big firm in New York, and her mother was an FBI Agent, doing undercover work for them.

Ava was 18 when her mother was discovered by the leader of a drug operation and killed, but not before she was tortured. The video of the torture was sent to the Duquesne residence, and Ava got her hands on it first. Her father came home to find her curled up in the fetal position on the couch. After six weeks of therapy, Ava still hadn't responded and she was committed to a psych ward where they secretly put her through a series of tests, during which she was injected with a serum that activated a long dormant characteristic in Ava - she was a C-24 Superhuman, a genetic condition which gave her supernatural qualities like superhuman strength and speed. She also gained a psychic ability: pyrokinesis, an ability giving her control over fire.

One night, in a fit of rage, Ava set fire to the psych ward, releasing the other patients as she escaped. She was hunted by the FBI for two years before they finally found her hiding out at a friend's house in Canada. Right then and there, the FBI struck a deal with her - if Ava agreed to work with them in their paranormal department with Agents Mulder and Scully to figure out this new case that was stumping them, then her record would be wiped clean and she would have complete restitution. Ava agreed and has become an undercover ops agent for the paranormal department of the FBI, working closely with Mulder and Scully to solve this new case.

**A C-24 Superhuman is a human that is born with the 24th chromosome pair intact in their genetic DNA code, whereas a normal human only has 23. This genetic mutation gives the person superhuman abilities such as speed and strength, and it elevates the sensitivity of their normal human senses. This mutation also gives them regenerative capabilities, and in rare cases - like Ava, for example - it can empower them with certain psychic abilities.
